Wow! It has been exactly a month since my last entry here. Well, no it is not because I was busy, and it is not because I had nothing to write about and definitely it is not because I fell sick or something.
It is just simply because I didn't have the urge to write something here. I am sure there'll be times where you just felt like not doing anything about something even though you knew that you could. Am I making any sense here at all? *grin*
It has been a very eventful month for me in February, with Chinese New Year and Valentines Day in the same month as well as a few more dramatic events makes it an unforgettable month.
Chinese New Year was great, as usual all my relatives from Taiwan will return to Malaysia and we will all gather in Johor Bahru at grandpa's house to spend a few days together. Grandpa looks so much older then before, and it really breaks my heart to see him getting older each time. Grandma had a surgery few weeks ago and she's still not able to walk, which adds on to grandpa's misery as he was so worried about her.
Like many of you, a little bit of gambling is not harmful during festive seasons but I swear I would not gamble again during Chinese New Year because I was stripped and ass raped by my friends and relatives in poker. I mean, aren't we suppose to be nice to our own family members? *sob* *sob*
Kevin had an open house and he actually got the whole steamboat car that you probably can see by the roadside to come to his house to serve us! I mean, geez that's a fucking brilliant idea because unlike traditional catering, you get to eat to your heart's content and not sharing the soup with others. Genius!
Let me know if you're keen to try it out,I'm sure Kevin's mum will be delighted
They serve French cuisine, the food was alright but the atmosphere is really top of the class. The dim lighting with candles and roses makes the experience very enjoyable. I had forgotten to bring my camera with me on that day so I'll post up the shots I grabbed from their site. And of course, the price is out of this world. RM 8xx for 2 persons, still well worth spending depending who you're going with. *grin*
Angeline offered to show me around in Johor Bahru so I made a trip down there and used the opportunity to give myself a break. I checked in to Hyatt Regency where they gave me a room that has a sea view. It certainly does feel good waking up every morning and you're greeted by the view of the sea when you look through the window. I certainly did relax myself these few days.
And then the funniest thing happened. I bumped in to an old time IRC friend, Kurt aka Ah Sui. We actually wanted to meet up back then together with Miyake and rest of the gang for a teh tarik session, but it always didn't happen in the end. I never expected him to check in to the same hotel as me and so we had our teh tarik session at the hotel lobby.
By the way, I think somebody is going to be really happy tomorrow because that person is going to get this, a limited edition of the movie Secret DVD with a musical tune playing in the background when the case is opened. *huggies*
