Oracle Buys Sun

Yes, just exactly what the title is saying, Oracle now owns Sun. With the acquisition not only Oracle is in the hardware market, they now also owns MySQL and Java as well.

And USD 7.6 billion is what it took for Oracle to own Sun's ass.

Good news you ask me? Well hell yah! IBM is one stingy bastard whose not willing to pay for something as superior as MySQL and Java so screw you, pussycat.

Talk about cloud computing, now Oracle is going to be a cloud force to be reckoned with! *grin*

Just like what the press release said, "The Board of Directors of Sun Microsystems has unanimously approved the transaction." Sweet, Larry Ellison is a genius! He probably had planned this all along.

It's all about choice, choice and choice, I'm really looking forward to see what is coming out of this entire acquisition as I believe there will be a lot of sparks flying all over the place moving forward after the deal settles.

For an IT savvy person like myself, having multiple email accounts due to multiple IM sign-ons is probably very common.

While I don't create a zillion email accounts for the sake of creating it and never use, I do actually check all my Live! Mail, GMail and Yahoo Mail on a daily basis.

Streamyx Sucks

Well, the title says it all. But before I start blasting this bunch of retarded monopolizing morons, let us give them the benefit of the doubt.

So I whipped out my trusty browser and pointed it to the Speedometer page and guess what? The results are pretty good actually!

Well I'm determined to prove that Streamyx is indeed fucked up, so I opted to test it out using something more neutral, like Speedtest and again the results are actually pretty good!

Both tests actually came back with good results! So why the fuck we still get so many complaints about TM's Streamyx being slow? Well guys, if open your eyes really big you might actually discover why.

Speedometer
If you look carefully, what Speedometer does is actually testing the bandwidth transfer between your house to their server in Brickfields. Fuck, this is like testing how fast/short the distance is between my house to the nearest 7-Eleven store.

Its either those bunch of morons at TM think that they are very smart in deceiving us or we're really that dumb to realize that this Speedometer test is all fucking bullshit.

Again, the server Speedtest is connecting to is actually a local server located in Malaysia which is sponsored by Metrofon. Well, same shit just like Speedometer because its a local server. All it manages to prove is that our internal speed is within the service level agreement, that's all.

So what? Big deal! If within our internal network we can't even gain an acceptable speed, TM ought just to shoot themselves in the head.

Now the following test will show you how fucking shitty our Streamyx connection can be. I am forcing Speednet to perform a bandwidth test to several countries to truly gauge the real speed Streamyx is offering us.

We don't only surf sites in Malaysia, there are like tons of sites located out of Malaysia that we surf everyday so this test truly reflects the actual situation that is happening with us now.

See how fucking slow it is when we connect to a US server?


Connection to a Taiwanese server ain't that fast either


And this I am totally speechless, the upstream is actually faster than the downstream when connecting to an Australian server.

(Hello?? Isn't it suppose to be the other way around?)

Conclusion
What is my conclusion you ask? Well this is what I have to say.

TM if you're reading this, please read it while imagining the entire Malaysian Streamyx subscribers showing you the finger.
